Our policy is only to use safe and natural materials in the manufacture, finishing and decoration of our products and were possible this is verified with the manufactures. The stains we use are water based manufactured by (…) and contain only natural colorings. All our products receive a final dipping in Danish oil this not only enhances and brings out the natural grain of the timber it also provides a natural protection against accidental spillages and sticky fingers. The Danish oil we use is from Rustins and in our opinion the best natural oil available.

Some products such as feelies are given a final polish using natural Beeswax; this enhances the feel of the wood and also has a fantastic fragrance of nectar and the countryside. Where possible we obtain this from local Bee Keepers.

The use of these materials makes our products suitable for children (and occasionally animals) to play with, however, please be aware that young children must be supervised whilst playing. If you would like more information on the above manufactures and their products please visit the links page.
